Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of Aston University’s HR Systems team at a pivotal time. As we deliver on the Aston 2030 Strategy, our team is central to driving innovation, efficiency, and impact across HR systems and processes.

We’re looking for a HR Systems Advisor who is motivated, detail-driven, and eager to grow. Reporting to the Head of HR Systems, you’ll play a key role in supporting colleagues across the University, ensuring smooth day-to-day system use while helping to shape future developments and enhancements.

You’ll also collaborate with other HR teams on projects, process improvements, and upgrades/patches. This role is hands-on, offering both operational support and the chance to influence long-term improvements.

What we’re looking for:

A proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills.

Strong organisational ability, with attention to detail and accuracy.

Previous experience in end-user support and troubleshooting.

An interest in developing reporting and data skills (experience desirable but not essential).

What we offer:

A vibrant, city-centre campus with excellent transport links.

Dynamic working – a balance of on-campus and remote working.

Generous leave: 30 days annual leave plus 13 bank holidays and closure days.

Excellent training and development opportunities.

Everyday discounts with retailers and activities.

Family-friendly policies to support work–life balance.

Access to an on-site gym and pool with discounted membership.

At Aston, you’ll be part of a supportive, forward-thinking team, making a real impact on how we work and how we deliver for our people.
