Summary
Reporting to the Principal Infrastructure Environmental Health Practitioner (PIEHP), the post holder will discharge duties for all relevant EH disciplines undertaken by the Team.
The primarily focus will be on Food Safety assurance of catering building projects, kitchen refurbishments as well as the delivery of routine Food Safety Audits across the whole of the Defence Estate. The post holder will support the lead Food Safety EHP with the organisation of Audits as well as the publication, drafting and development of existing and new DIO policies and guidance documents.
In addition, the post holder will periodically support the Senior EHP responsible for the assessment of housing fitness standards across the MODs Service Families Accommodation (SLA). This role will involve acting as an SME focal point for the qualification and assessment of housing conditions to all areas of the business on housing standards as well as housing hazards and risks. The post holder will provide relevant and timely professional advice to eliminate potential risks to health for occupants as well as advising stakeholders regarding maintenance and repair strategies.
