Summary

Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday 8.45am - 4.45pm (1 hour unpaid break), Friday 8.45am - 4.15pm (30 minutes unpaid break)

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture (SLLC) is seeking a proactive and highly organised Business and Administration Officer to lead the day-to-day operations of our Business and Administration team. This is a pivotal role supporting the Chief Executive, Heads of Service, and the Board, and contributing to the continuous improvement of internal processes across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate administrative operations and ensure compliance with procedures.
- Provide high-level, confidential support to senior leadership and the Board.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for meetings and strategic planning.
- Identify and implement improvements to administrative processes and service delivery.
- Liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the service on working groups and contribute to staff training and development.
About You:
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Has experience in minute taking, diary management, and supporting meetings.
- Demonstrates excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Can manage competing priorities and work under pressure.
- Understands political sensitivity and maintains confidentiality.
- Is flexible, resilient, and a strong communicator.
A relevant qualification (e.g., HNC/HND in Business Administration) and knowledge of SLLC’s governance structure are desirable.
