Key Responsibilities

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons


  • Work closely with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups


  • Assist with lesson planning, classroom organisation, and resource preparation


  • Track student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff


  • Build positive relationships with students to support their academic and personal development


  • Gain valuable classroom experience ahead of a PGCE or teacher training programme


    What We’re Looking For

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • A 2:1 degree (or above) in English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Psychology, or a related field


    • A strong academic background (A-Levels and GCSEs)


    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


    • A proactive and adaptable approach to working in the classroom


    • Some experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering) is desirable but not essential
