Duties:
- Deal with routine correspondence and enquiries from learners, parents, outside agencies and College staff, referring on to appropriate specialist staff in accordance with college procedures.
- Carry out a range of student-related administration to support the effective health and wellbeing and positive progress of students.
- To support and provide an administrative service for student safeguarding files upholding confidentiality at all times.
- Maintaining information and reporting on data held on the student record system and other administrative systems.
- To arrange and set up meetings with partners and external agencies where appropriate.
- Monitor the fitness to study and disciplinary process, administering associated paperwork ensuring copies are sent to students and parents/guardians of students aged under 18.
- Develop and maintain a log of all student disciplinaries and fitness to study cases in progress, monitor targets and periodically report figures to academic and support staff as appropriate.
- Minute safeguarding meetings when requested.
- Update the Safeguarding Information for the college campus as well as communications sent to external stakeholders as and when required.
Skills/Experience:
- Working successfully with internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills with customer service experience.
- Experience of accuracy and attention to detail in verbal and written communication
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft IT packages
- Highly motivated professional with a range of industry experience and knowledge within the FE sector
Qualifications:
- Minimum GCSE Grade 4 / C or equivalent Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English
- Two years' experience within an administrative role
