If the answer to the above is yes then this is an exciting opportunity to be a part of our team in the CTAU, Combined Triage and Assessment Unit as a Registered Nurse .

We are ideally looking for an experienced Registered Nurse with demonstrable post registration experience with acute and/or Oncology/Haematology experience, who will thrive in our bespoke assessment unit .

We are in search of driven, compassionate and forward thinking nurses to join our team to support the cancer patient journey when they become unwell as a result of their treatment or diagnosis.

You must be adaptable, able to thrive under pressure, a great team player, be able to empathise and to remain professional and positive during challenging situations.

The role entails telephone triaging, assessing, planning and implementing care to acutely unwell patients. We have a 24hr triage line where patients undergoing treatments for their cancer diagnosis can call the line for advice and assessment.

CTAU is open 7 days a week currently 7:30 am- 8 pm week days and 8am - 6pm weekends and BH.

Winter hours are staggered and extended from 08.30 am - 9pm due to higher activity.

There will be a requirement to work 8am-6pm at weekends and BHs on a rota basis.

CTAU is situated on the cancer corridor level 1, entrance 24 at Royal Derby Hospital.

Due to progression within the team we have full time and part time permanent positions available.
