Job Title: Housing Resolutions Officer

Ref: Brent 5275431

Pay rate: £20.74 per hour PAYE

Role length: Anticipated 3 months

Additional requirements: Full driving license and use of a car is required as you will have to travel extensively inside/outside of the borough to visit properties



The role:

Within the Housing Needs Service is an exciting opportunity to join the Housing Resolutions Team as a Housing Resolutions Officer.

The Housing Resolutions Team provide housing options advice to households in temporary accommodation and promote effective move-on to other settled housing, including private rented sector, intermediate and social housing as well as dealing with tenancy audits and resolving customer complaints.

You will be expected to visit temporary accommodation customers regularly to provide a range of tailored information and advice about more settled accommodation.

You will maintain high standards of casework, record keeping and excellent relations with other departments within the Housing Needs Service.



What the client is looking for:

A dynamic, hardworking and focused individual with the ability to effectively plan, organise and manage conflicting priorities
Experience of giving advice and information to customers and working with vulnerable groups
Strong background in Homelessness legislation
Understanding of homelessness and housing issues in the borough
Ability to deliver excellent services
Proactive and highly motivated
Ability to maintain high standards of casework and record keeping
Excellent communication and customer service skills
