The Priory Learning Trust is seeking a Nursery Manager to join our Little Learners team at Castle Batch Primary School Academy.


At Little Learners @ Castle Batch Primary School Academy we understand and celebrate the unique qualities in every child and we ensure our Nursery is an enjoyable and positive experience for all of the children in our care.


Our purpose built classrooms, Discoverers and Adventurers will have access to outstanding resources and learning opportunities, with the outside area being an extension of the classroom.


Castle Batch Primary School Academy offers Little Learners access to wonderful facilities such as the Forest School area, large dining and sports hall and the playing fields.


As part of this role, you will;


Working within the general direction of the Principal, undertake the full range of managerial duties and responsibilities in the school Nursery; ensuring the provision of high quality childcare, in a caring and stimulating environment, for children up to the age of five years.
To act as an integral part of The Priory Learning Trust Early Years team, and as such to make a significant contribution to the overall aims of the Trust, including helping to determine clear and effective policies and procedures both in and out of term time.
To act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the Nursery. Representing the Nursery at meetings relating the individual needs of children i.e. Child Protection Case Conferences, Core group meetings and Child in Need meetings.

The successful candidate will have;


Good standard of general education (A level equivalent) NNEB/HNC or NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Child Care and Education
Five GCSE’s including English and Maths at Grade A-C or Level 2 equivalent.
Significant experience in directly working with children in a Care, Early Years or Play setting as a lead practitioner.
Ability to meet children’s individual needs.
Ability to lead a team and effectively line manage staff having difficult conversations, when required
