Summary
Criteria Essential Desirable Qualifications NVQ Level 2 in healthcare or equivalent Qualification relating to caring for people living with dementia, or NVQ level 3 Experience Proven experience working with vulnerable adults with complex and varying needs within a social or health care setting Multi-disciplinary teamwork Understanding of the need for enabling patients to achieve optimum independence Experience of working with people with dementia Experience of working in a community setting Special knowledge / expertise Demonstrate a good working knowledge of dementia and importance of person centred care/therapy Awareness of support available for older people Disposition, adjustment, attitude and commitment Good interpersonal skills Flexibility and adaptability to change.
