Healthcare Assistant – Post-Operative Care
Hourly Rate: £13.75
37.5 hours per week, rotation of day and night shifts

Due to the location of the service, candidates need to be able to drive to the site.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant
- Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable
- A caring and empathetic nature, with a genuine passion for supporting patients during recovery.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of basic clinical care procedures and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and provide support in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the care and monitoring of patients following surgery, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Support the nursing team in delivering post-operative wound care, mobility assistance, and pain management.
- Help patients with personal care needs, such as hygiene, dressing, and meals, promoting independence wherever possible.
- Observe and report any changes in patient conditions to the nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with infection control and clinic protocols.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of patient care activities and support the clinical team in maintaining patient documentation.
