An established and welcoming primary school in Birmingham is seeking a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025 through to July 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to build classroom confidence, develop practical skills, and play a key role in supporting young learners across the primary age range.

About the Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support class teachers in delivering fun, engaging, and age-appropriate lessons across the primary curriculum

  • Work with pupils both 1:1 and in small groups to provide targeted academic support

  • Assist with classroom organisation and behaviour management to promote a positive learning environment

  • Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping to meet their individual academic and emotional needs

  • Help with preparing learning materials and contribute to lesson planning and classroom activities

  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels safe, supported, and encouraged

    Who We’re Looking For
    • A recent or upcoming graduate (minimum 2:1) – degrees in Education, Psychology, or related fields are particularly welcome

    • Someone with a genuine interest in working with children and supporting their development

    • A patient, proactive, and enthusiastic individual with a strong work ethic

    • Previous experience in a school or with young people is a plus, but not essential

    • Full-time availability from September 2025 through to July 2026

      What’s On Offer
      • Competitive weekly pay: £500 – £570, depending on experience

      • A full academic year of hands-on experience in a Birmingham primary school

      • Insight into the day-to-day life of a teacher – ideal for those considering teacher training in 2026

      • Support from experienced educators and opportunities for continued professional development

      • A vibrant, forward-thinking school community that invests in staff and student growth

      • Convenient location in Birmingham, with strong public transport links and on-site parking available

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to take their first step into the world of education – whether you're considering a future in teaching, educational psychology, or SEN support.
