Are you looking for a career-defining opportunity where your skills can make a real impact? The Naval Support Integrated Global Network (NSIGN) programme is seeking a Programme Capability Support Officer to help deliver innovative support solutions for the Royal Navy’s ships, submarines, and naval infrastructure.

This is your chance to work at the heart of a major UK defence transformation programme, collaborating across Navy Command Headquarters (Portsmouth), Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S), the Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA) at MoD Abbey Wood, and MoD Head Office in London.

About the Role

As a key member of the NSIGN Design Authority team, you’ll support Capability Managers in designing infrastructure and asset management solutions for Naval Bases. You’ll also contribute to broader programme activities, including:

Reviewing business cases and assurance documentation
Supporting solution design and procurement strategies
Ensuring alignment with programme objectives and wider MoD initiatives
Management of cross programme dependencies.

Your work will help ensure the Royal Navy’s operational readiness from October 2026 onwards, delivering value for money, resilience, and certainty of support.

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds, including:

Project and programme management
Understanding of Maritime Support
Business analysis and procurement
Engineering or logistics support

If you’re a strategic thinker, a strong communicator, and enjoy working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, we’d love to hear from you.

In Navy Command, our civil servants work alongside their military colleagues in jobs that matter; jobs which often have a direct impact on the quality of the operational capabilities we deliver.

Roles can offer great job satisfaction and there are many opportunities to develop and progress both within the Department and across the wider Civil Service.
