This opportunity is in the solution design and development arena for User Interface Designer who will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing technical solutions to enhance business operations. To collaborate closely with various stakeholders including business users, project managers, and IT teams to gather requirements, propose solutions, and ensure successful implementation. It will involve troubleshooting technical issues, optimizing systems and processes, and supporting project lifecycles from inception to completion.
Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):
Design intuitive, aesthetically pleasing user interfaces for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
Translate wireframes, user stories, and business requirements into high-fidelity visual designs and prototypes.
Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI patterns to ensure consistency across products.
Collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, developers, and stakeholders throughout the design and development lifecycle.
Use data and usability testing feedback to refine and iterate on UI designs.
Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards and are optimized for responsiveness across devices and screen sizes.
Create interactive prototypes to communicate design intent and user flow.
Stay current with UI trends, design best practices, emerging technologies, and competitor products.
Present design concepts and explain design decisions to stakeholders and project teams.
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Web Design, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in UI design or a similar role.
Proficiency in UI design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or InVision.
Solid understanding of visual design principles, including typography, color theory, layout, and composition.
Experience designing responsive interfaces for web, mobile, and tablet platforms.
Knowledge of design systems, style guides, and component-based UI development.
Experience creating interactive prototypes and clickable mockups to communicate functionality and interactions.
Familiarity with motion design and animation tools (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Principle, Lottie) is a plus.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams (UX, development, product).
Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate design concepts and rationale.
Ability to accept feedback and iterate designs quickly.
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to communicate effectively with developers.
Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Tailwind) is a plus.
Knowledge of WCAG guidelines and inclusive design principles.
Ability to design for diverse users and ensure interfaces are usable by people of varying abilities.
Design: Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Illustrator, Photoshop
Prototyping: InVision, Axure, Marvel, ProtoPie
Collaboration: Jira, Confluence, Slack, Zeplin, Miro
Certified UI/UX Designer (e.g., NN/g, HFI, Adobe Certified Professional) is a plus.
