Summary

Both Dundee and Forfar Sheriff Court are looking for adminstatifve officers to join their team on a full time basis.

Forfar has 1 permanent role and Dundee has 2 permanent roles and 1 fixed term maternity cover for 9 months.

There is also an expectation that you will be rotated to either court from your base court to cover.

Administrative Officers carry out a variety of general administrative duties to progress cases through the court or provide support to other functions within the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service.

The Key Responsibilities

To undertake a number of general administrative duties including:

Processing and distributing incoming mail to colleagues which comprises of writs, summonses, simplified divorces, enquiries and other documents.
Creating and updating records on our in-house computer system and data input
Producing court documents
Preparing files for court hearings
General photocopying and filing
Dealing with numerical calculations
Accounting for monies in accordance with financial guidelines
Undertake light portering duties as required
