We're looking for a Strategic Communications Partner to join Co-op Wholesale as part of the Customer Experience team. Since 1977, we've championed independent retailers to thrive with Nisa - and now, we're entering a bold new chapter as Co-op Wholesale. It's the same spirit, with bigger ambition: bringing the power of Co-op to more local businesses than ever. And with that, exciting opportunities are on the rise, like this one.

We've set up a brand-new Customer Experience team to make a real difference for our varied wholesale customer base, including independent retailers, corporate partners and national accounts. This team is all about bringing focus, speed, and creating new ways of working. Getting the right messages to the right people and making sure our customers feel understood.

Your role is all about shaping the stories that define who we are, what we do, and why it matters. You'll craft smart, insight-led campaigns that align with business goals and key strategic priorities. Collaborating with senior leaders, you'll shape messaging that's clear, consistent and inspiring, ultimately strengthening our brand voice in a competitive market.

What you'll do
* Lead on multi-channel campaigns from planning to delivery, that support business priorities, change initiatives and customer engagement
* Collaborate across internal teams to align messaging, timing and delivery
* Use data and insights to make sure that our communications are relevant, targeted, and drive action
* Shape our corporate narrative and develop messaging frameworks that reflect our purpose, vision, and market position
* Support senior leaders with strategic writing including scripts, speeches and presentations to help storytelling in key comms moments like conferences and business updates
* Coordinate messaging across channels making sure they are consistent in tone, visuals and sequencing
* Measure impact and improve communication activity using KPIs and feedback to refine campaigns and share best practices

This role would suit people who have
* Experience working in a B2B, FMCG or supplier environment
* Experience in strategic or corporate communications and campaign management
* The ability to translate big strategic priorities into communications that are accessible for our wholesale customers
* Excellent writing skills to be able to brief colleagues and the ability to support communication specialists in their role
* The confidence to work with a variety of colleagues up to senior leaders, to create communications and challenge them when necessary

Why Co-op?
If you have the skills that we need, we can offer you a competitive salary and great benefits package which includes 30% off Co-op branded products in our food stores (as well as other discounts on Co-op products and services).
* An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance)
* 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
* A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
* Private healthcare for you and your family
* Access to a subsidised onsite gym (at our Manchester HQ)
* Coaching and training to support your career development
* Wagestream app - giving you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn
