Summary


The Specialist Medicine Division at the Royal London Hospital is looking for a full-time enthusiastic and dynamic Band 4 administrator to manage the patient pathway and support clinical team with the administrative duties of our Cellular Pathology service.

The successful applicant will be responsible for entering Histology results on WinPath, managing the pathway, supporting consultants with administrative tasks, preparation for MDT and the day to day administrative work of the service. The post-holder will provide a comprehensive and efficient administrative service.

We are looking to recruit an individual who works well under pressure, is enthusiastic, well-motivated and can work on their own initiative. Good organizational and priority skills are essential along with the ability to work in a busy environment. The main purpose of this role is to participate in ensuring the comprehensive delivery of administrative services within Cellular Pathology.  This involves being an active and supportive member of the department's administrative and clerical team, ensuring a smooth and effective service. 

In summary, the post holder will ensure:

• Efficient multidisciplinary team meeting preparation
• Accurate and timely transcriptions of reports
• Results uploaded in timely manner on WinPath
• Support the coordination of workflows and deputize in the absence of the Team Leader.
• Support the maintenance and development of SOPs for the department
• Support the training and development of new staff members
• Provide general office support to staff within the service 
• Ensure all databases are updated for audits and learning
• Deal with telephone and email queries.
 Be responsible for the provision of an efficient and effective secretarial/PA service to a multidisciplinary team.
