This is an exciting time for East Renfrewshire and we are looking for an energetic, strategic thinking, creative Team Manager who has the right values, experience and leadership to work within our Intensive Family Support Team. The team comprises of social work and health staff who have responsibility for working with colleagues in children’s and justice services to offer intensive support to families. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues within community team services by supporting operational duties, including duty, IRDs and management oversight of child protection. This post holder will help shape and lead on targeted, tailored whole family support delivering compassionate and trauma informed social work support for children, parents and their wider communities.

You will be involved in financial and other resource management, performance management, and service development and will be expected to promote targeted interventions for children, young people and their families within our integrated model of health and social care. We are keen to hear from individuals that are committed to our vision and have a strong value base who remain compassionate when faced with complex situations. You will be committed to ensuring timely, risk sensible and strength-based practice, underpinned by our ‘Signs of Safety’ model.

Our collective vision was emphasised in our recent inspection by the Care Inspectorate which highlighted our innovative and trauma informed approaches of support to families, communities and our staff as ‘Excellent’.

Applicants will hold a professional social work qualification and be able to demonstrate considerable social work experience, whilst previous supervisory experience, project planning and organisational, analytical and communication skills will be an advantage.
