This post is responsible for the following key areas (but not limited to):
To manage the Babcock Phoenix (White Fleet) contract, providing advice and guidance to the Establishment on vehicle assets required to meet the establishments Core Objectives, and to be the Authorised Demanding Officer (ADO) for the contract.
The control and utilisation of Motor Transport vehicles, ensuring the pool fleet is suitable and available to meet the Establishment’s needs while paying specific attention to the Establishment’s younger generation of Drivers, ensuring all regulations affecting the safe operation of Service transport are adhered to.
Deliver a robust and meaningful First Party compliance regime that monitors and records all aspects of Transport Section operations, highlighting any areas that are not compliant with MOD-Policy and thereafter take corrective action to regain and maintain compliance.
Act as the Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor for the Establishment, providing expert advice on the handling, transport, and related activities of all dangerous goods.
Act as the Unit Licencing Officer, authorising personnel for driving licence acquisition and training.
The MT Manager is the Driving Permits Manager, who provides technical advice and support on the use of MyDrive.
Is responsible for delivering driver familiarisation training for all new Service drivers.
