You will assist the CDM Officer in the delivery of all Housing capital investment and other projects that will contribute to the delivery of the Scottish Housing Quality Standard and The Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing (EESSH) for Renfrewshire Council housing stock, focusing on legislation & health & safety requirements.

You will work with the relevant managers to ensure safe delivery of local programmes and individual projects, from initial preconstruction planning to completion. You will help to manage a number of contractors.

You will also be expected to provide client advisory services in accordance with the current Construction (Design & Management) Regulations, as applicable to the Council’s Housing Investment programmes and Asset Management strategy.

It Is essential you have a NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction or NEBOSH General Certificate and/or NVQ Level 3 Health and Safety Certificate or IOSH equivalent as is experience of working in a construction environment in a CDM capacity.

You must have relevant experience in a Local Authority and experience of working with spreadsheets and a range of databases.

Awareness of most up to date CDM legislation and procedures and the ability to establish relationships with Clients/Designers is also essential.

You must have a flexible approach to service delivery requirements, knowledge of designer competence and an ability to ensure all documentation is presented timeously.

You should be innovative, commercially aware and computer literate.
