About the role
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Business Analyst to join our Strategic Change Team at the University of Plymouth. You will work on key transformation projects, partnering with stakeholders to understand current processes and lead the design of future ways of working that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and user experience.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and is passionate about driving meaningful change in a large and diverse organisation.
What We’re Looking For
You will bring demonstrable experience of successfully delivering business analysis and supporting change initiatives within a complex organisational setting. You’ll be confident in engaging stakeholders, facilitating workshops, and applying structured methodologies such as LEAN to co-create solutions.
We’re looking for someone with strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. You’ll be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, and able to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate workshops and engage stakeholders to capture and analyse current business processes.
• Apply structured methodologies to design improved future-state processes aligned with strategic goals.
• Build strong relationships across the University to support change adoption and stakeholder engagement.
• Develop and maintain high-quality documentation, templates, and toolkits to support consistent analysis.
• Analyse data from various systems to generate insights and inform decision-making.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and support teams in embedding new ways of working.
• Ensure all activities comply with University policies and contribute to inclusive and safe practices.
For this role, you will need to be on site 3 days a week. Although we can acommodate working from home for this role, flexibility to be on-site will be expected due to business needs.
