Social Care and Education have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager to lead the setup and development of a brand-new children’s home in Syston, LE7, supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is a rewarding chance to make a real impact and shape a high-quality, nurturing environment from the very beginning.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the setup and registration of a new EBD children’s home
• Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and standards
• Build, manage, and support a skilled team to deliver therapeutic, child-centred care
• Develop and implement individualised care plans to achieve positive outcomes for young people
• Oversee safeguarding practices, risk assessments, and staff development
• Maintain effective communication with external agencies, families, and other stakeholders
Essential Requirements
• Proven experience in setting up or managing a children’s residential home
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements and inspection processes
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
• Clear enhanced DBS check and right to work in the UK
• Full UK driving licence
