Summary

Tudor Employment Agency are currently recruiting for a Registered Manager to work for our client based in Leicester LE5.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Manager to lead the support and accommodation team, providing care for children and young people aged 8 – 18 with Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD). The successful candidate will oversee the management of all aspects of the 3 bed home, ensuring the highest standards of support, safety and individualised care. This role requires a proactive leader capable of building a nurturing and supportive environment while working collaboratively with staff and external stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes for the young people in care.

Salary: £47,000 - £55,000 per annum (Dependant on experience)

Duties of a Registered Manager will include:

    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the support and accommodation facility
    • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of caregivers and support staff to deliver exceptional care tailored to individual needs
    • Promote a culture of empathy, professionalism, and continuous improvement among the team
    • Develop, implement, and review personalized support plans that address the emotional, social, and developmental needs of young people
    • Foster a safe, positive, and therapeutic living environment that promotes growth and well-being
    • Support young people in their transition to independence, equipping them with life skills and confidence
    • Ensure the facility operates in full compliance with relevant legislation, including safeguarding protocols and Children’s Homes Regulations
    • Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain high standards of care and identify areas for improvement
    • Ensure all safeguarding incidents are reported, documented, and addressed appropriately
    • Work closely with external professionals, including social workers, healthcare providers, therapists, and schools, to deliver holistic and integrated support
    • Engage with families and guardians, keeping them informed and involved where appropriate
    • Manage budgets, staff rotas, and resources to ensure effective service delivery
    • Keep accurate records and reports in line with regulatory requirements
    • Ensure staff training is up-to-date, including safeguarding and therapeutic approaches

    Skills of a Registered Manager required:

      • Extensive experience supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
      • Proven leadership and team management abilities to inspire and guide staff effectively.
      • Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and regulatory requirements in care services
      • Ability to develop and implement individualised support plans with a focus on positive outcomes
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with young people, families, staff, and external stakeholders
      • Problem-solving and resilience to handle challenges with a calm and solution-focused approach
      • Knowledge of therapeutic and trauma-informed care methods

      In order to be considered for the role of Registered Manager:

        • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management role within children’s residential care, supported accommodation, or a related setting
        • Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent
        • Comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding protocols, Children’s Homes Regulations, and other applicable legislation
        • Experience leading teams and managing care for children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties
        • Additional training in therapeutic or trauma-informed care approaches is highly desirable

        Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm (on call support is required for this role)
