Summary
Tudor Employment Agency are currently recruiting for a Registered Manager to work for our client based in Leicester LE5.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Manager to lead the support and accommodation team, providing care for children and young people aged 8 – 18 with Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD). The successful candidate will oversee the management of all aspects of the 3 bed home, ensuring the highest standards of support, safety and individualised care. This role requires a proactive leader capable of building a nurturing and supportive environment while working collaboratively with staff and external stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes for the young people in care.
Salary: £47,000 - £55,000 per annum (Dependant on experience)
Duties of a Registered Manager will include:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the support and accommodation facility
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of caregivers and support staff to deliver exceptional care tailored to individual needs
Promote a culture of empathy, professionalism, and continuous improvement among the team
Develop, implement, and review personalized support plans that address the emotional, social, and developmental needs of young people
Foster a safe, positive, and therapeutic living environment that promotes growth and well-being
Support young people in their transition to independence, equipping them with life skills and confidence
Ensure the facility operates in full compliance with relevant legislation, including safeguarding protocols and Children’s Homes Regulations
Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain high standards of care and identify areas for improvement
Ensure all safeguarding incidents are reported, documented, and addressed appropriately
Work closely with external professionals, including social workers, healthcare providers, therapists, and schools, to deliver holistic and integrated support
Engage with families and guardians, keeping them informed and involved where appropriate
Manage budgets, staff rotas, and resources to ensure effective service delivery
Keep accurate records and reports in line with regulatory requirements
Ensure staff training is up-to-date, including safeguarding and therapeutic approaches
Skills of a Registered Manager required:
Extensive experience supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
Proven leadership and team management abilities to inspire and guide staff effectively.
Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and regulatory requirements in care services
Ability to develop and implement individualised support plans with a focus on positive outcomes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with young people, families, staff, and external stakeholders
Problem-solving and resilience to handle challenges with a calm and solution-focused approach
Knowledge of therapeutic and trauma-informed care methods
In order to be considered for the role of Registered Manager:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management role within children’s residential care, supported accommodation, or a related setting
Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent
Comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding protocols, Children’s Homes Regulations, and other applicable legislation
Experience leading teams and managing care for children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties
Additional training in therapeutic or trauma-informed care approaches is highly desirable
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm (on call support is required for this role)
