Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Leader to join the Complex Health Hub at NNUH. This role forms part of the wider Complex Health Hub which is responsible for Safeguarding, Mental Health, Dementia, Learning Disability and Autism, Substance Misuse, MCA & DoLs, Homelessness and Prison Healthcare.
The post holder will manage a team of Band 7 staff who provide clinical support to patients of all ages who require support for their Mental Health whilst an inpatient at NNUH. The role will also involve regular contact with system partners to ensure an equitable service for this patient group.
Job interviews are expected to be held on 10th September 2025.
The post holder will be expected to implement the NNUH Mental Health Strategy and the operational planning and delivery for Mental Health Services within the NNUH.
The post holder will be expected to work in effective partnership with senior clinicians at NNUH, NSFT, NHSE, ICB, Social Care and CPFT to ensure appropriate pathways for accessing the correct clinical care, in the correct environment for our patients.

• To fully support the Senior Leadership Teams at NNUH whilst working closely with NSFT senior leads with the strategic and operational planning and delivery of all Mental Health Services at NNUH as part of the Complex Health Hub and Paediatric Division.
• To work in partnership with senior operational staff, service users and carers to support engagement and leadership of performance, quality, safety and service development. The post holder will focus on operational planning and review to introduce ways of continuously improving the quality of the pathways to meet service demands and safeguarding high standards of care by creating an environment in which excellence will flourish.
• To develop a culture of continuous improvement in performance, quality and safety within the NNUH.
• To ensure evidence-based practice and user-centred recovery principles are used to assess, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate all interventions provided by the teams to promote recovery and independence.
• To ensure the Mental Health Support Team works in line with NNUH clinical, risk management and safeguarding policies.
