Summary

Senior Project Manager needed in Huntingdon, £370.44 per day PAYE - Reference: RQ1581427

The development and delivery of major transport infrastructure is vital to the future economic wellbeing of Greater Cambridge.

The Greater Cambridge Partnership (GCP) Transport programme is a cornerstone of the City Deal initiative and aims to develop a sustainable transport network for Greater Cambridge that keeps people, business and ideas connected, as the area continues to grow; to make it easy to get into, out of, and around Cambridge by public transport, by bike and on foot. The Major Infrastructure Delivery Project Manager role is responsible for the delivery of major initiatives costing £hundreds of millions and is accountable to the GCP Transport Director and ultimately the GCP Executive Board for successful implementation.

This role is responsible for delivering one or more projects within the GCP Transport Programme.
This role is vital in ensuring effective and efficient delivery of major schemes across a wide range of transport projects, defining service outcomes across a range of needs – e.g. service change, modal shift and maximising contract savings and achieving Value for Money.

This is a part time role on a temporary contract basis.
