Service Manager for extra care and supported living services

Location: Hereford
Salary: £36,000 - £38,000 per annum

Are you an experienced leader with a passion for person-centred care? I am recruiting for a Service Manager to oversee two specialist services that provide essential support for vulnerable adults in residential and community-based settings.

About the Services
This opportunity involves managing two distinct care environments:

  • One service supports older individuals experiencing physical frailty who wish to maintain independence within an extra care setting.
  • The other provides tailored residential care for adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities as well as mild learning needs, ensuring each person's dignity and autonomy is respected.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a dedicated team of support workers across both services
  • Ensure individual care plans are thoughtfully developed and executed
  • Maintain high standards of safety, compliance, and service quality
  • Foster strong relationships with families, external partners, and the wider community

Ideal Candidate

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in adult social care
  • Strong understanding of person-centred, respectful support
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills
  • Registered Manager status preferred; NVQ Level 5 or equivalent beneficial

In return for your extensive skills and experience, you will benefit from:

  • A meaningful and rewarding role where your leadership directly enhances lives
  • A supportive and collaborative work environment
  • A competitive salary with benefits and professional development opportunities
