JOB PURPOSE:
The post holder will deliver high quality cricket coaching sessions contributing to the objectives within Live Active Leisure’s Cricket Development Plan. The role is key to generating interest and increasing participation in schools; creating subsequent links between schools and clubs; supporting the delivery of cricket within clubs and delivering LAL programmed activity.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational Duties
Key Tasks
• Work closely with the Cricket Development Officer to deliver school, club and LAL coaching programmes.
• Carry out administrative duties and session planning to ensure the efficient operation and reporting of cricket programmes.
• Contribute to developing innovative cricket programmes across Perth and Kinross to engage with non-participants.
• Plan, organise and deliver cricket sessions in primary schools, increasing the number of school pupils exposed to the game.
• Create and develop strong links between schools, clubs and LAL cricket programmes to ensure a pathway for continued participation.
• Plan, organise and deliver cricket coaching sessions to children, young people and adults in local clubs to support growth within the club environment.
• Support less experienced volunteer coaches within school, club and LAL programmes to enhance their skills and confidence to deliver high quality cricket sessions.
• Work closely with the Cricket Development Officer to identify and respond to local inequalities within cricket to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate.
• Provide primary school teachers with support and resources to deliver additional cricket activity
• Support the Cricket Development Officer in monitoring, evaluating and reporting on participation numbers within school, club and LAL programmes.
• Take a lead on specific cricket participation projects as appropriate and as directed by the Cricket Development Officer.
• Lead holiday coaching programmes at local clubs and Live Active venues.
• Any other duties as appropriate

Health and safety
Key Tasks
• To comply with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and all supplementary legislation
• To ensure that any defect or damage to the building or items of equipment is reported to management of facilities
• To ensure programmes are delivered in-line with operational polices and guidelines

General

• To ensure you are physically fit to carry out your duties at all times
• To carry out other reasonable duties as may be required
• Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection guidelines
