We are currently seeking to appoint a PPA Teacher to work in a welcoming and inclusive primary school in St. Helens. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and experienced primary teacher looking for a flexible and rewarding role, covering classes across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across KS1 and KS2 to cover teachers' planning, preparation, and assessment (PPA) time
Adapt teaching to meet the varying needs of pupils across different classes
Maintain continuity of learning and uphold high classroom standards in the absence of class teachers
Promote positive behaviour and a safe, inclusive learning environment
Liaise with class teachers and senior leaders to ensure a consistent approach to learning and classroom management
Mark work and provide feedback in line with the school's policies
Candidate Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Recent experience teaching across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to quickly build rapport with pupils and staff
Adaptability, flexibility, and a proactive attitude
Experience working with pupils with additional needs (desirable)
Two professional references relating to recent teaching experience
A current Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
Right to work in the UK
