Summary
The Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the Management Team in delivering the smooth and efficient running of the Security Service. This is for a prestigious bustling and vibrant riverside destination set in a magnificent setting in the heart of London Bridge. The roles are diverse, interesting, busy, and vibrant in line with the nature of the destination.Information:Position: Estate Security Site SupervisorLocation: London BridgePay Rate: £16.21 per hourHours: Average 56 hours per weekShifts: 7 on 3 off - 7 on 4 off - Days & NightsJob Requirements:SIA Licence requiredSIA CCTV is a bonusExperience as a Team Leader/Supervisor is required of at least 2 yearExperience of working in a demanding, and sometimes high-pressure sitesHave a clear understanding and demonstrate outstanding customer service skillsSelf-motivated & able to work on own initiative, Team player, Patient, Loyal, dedicated, reliable and trustworthy, Role model, Articulate, persuasive & assertive with a flexible with attention to detailExcellent written communication and interpersonal skillsWill have experience and knowledge of the Timegate systemAbility to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressurePhysically able to carry out dutiesExcellent PC skills with knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPointWill hold level 3 management qualification, or be prepared to work towards level 3 qualification - IOSH - Managing Safety in the workplaceExcellent understanding of the prevailing industry standardsKey Responsibilities:To be responsible for the deployment of the security team to ensure that a satisfactory security presence is maintained on site at all times as required by the Client Representative(s)To ensure that all security personnel adhere to their duties and policies and procedures of the site at all times and report any breach of these immediately to the Duty Manager or the Contract ManagerMust have the ability to communicate at all levels and be responsible for the central standards and reporting function to the security control room. In order to do this, they should have excellent written and spoken communication skills that allow them to inform and advise others clearlyWill be responsible for the recording of all incidents and issues which concern their areas of responsibilityWill have the ability to perform investigations to the highest standard and be highly competent on reporting their findingsWill be responsible for the standards and training of staffWill ensure all on-going/refresher training is in place 6 monthly to ensure staff competencyWill ensure ongoing fire awareness refresher training of security staff and when directed by the Deputy Ops manager for the estate, assist with refresher of Service providers and estate managementWill monitor and report on the central training matrix for the wider contractDeliver and encourage outstanding customer service deliveryWill assist in the operational planning and deployment of resources for all planned projects and events across the siteTo respond to all incidents, taking ownership of the situation through to its natural conclusion to both client and management satisfactionTo identify and drive innovation across the contractEmpower the estate team to report defects, difference in the environment whilst out on the estateWill demonstrate, promote, and mentor the Broadgate and Ultimate visions and valuesCarry out any other reasonable request as required by the Client/Site ManagementOperationsReport & liaise on a daily basis with the Deputy Operations Managers to ensure effective communication of all matters pertaining to the delivery of a high standard professional security serviceLiaise with the Deputy Operations Managers on any problems which may occur throughout the dayLiaise with all zone supervisors to ensure complete coverage of the estate and manage any areas where responsibilities overlapAssist in the planning and delivery of external events, held regularly across the contractBuild and foster good relationships with retailers within your area of responsibilityEnsuring that all staff are fully trained and competent in their roles and carrying out their required duties with regards to the CCTV, Fire and Security systems, and all other systems appropriate to this area of responsibilityEnsure that all equipment is managed, used, monitored and reported defective in accordance with policies and proceduresProvide effective support to the client’s Incident Management representative and undertake incident management responsibilities training as defined by the clientEnsure all Non-Conformities identified are registered, actioned and closed within the agreed timeframeEnsure, with support via supervisory staff, all staff work in safe conditions, acting upon all reports of accidents and faults and that staff carry out their duties in accordance with procedures and policiesMonitor the central estate training matrix and ensure appropriate training (derived from both internal & external courses) is delivered to individual staff in accordance with the agreed contractEnsure compliance with SLA requirements, minimising associated risks to the company and to the customerMaintain a good level of morale and discipline within the team taking into consideration their welfareSet high personal standards for others to follow.All staff are expected to comply with, and demonstrate a positive commitment to, a high level in equal opportunity, occupational safety & health, performance development, customer service, professional presentation, and confidentiality throughout the course of their duties.The successful supervisor will be required to complete a FREC3 course (First response emergency care).
