Summary
Are you an experienced KS2 Teacher with a passion for supporting children through their crucial final years of primary education?
A Junior School is seeking a committed and enthusiastic KS2 Teacher to join their team from September 2025, with a focus on Years 5 and 6. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Teach across Years 5 and 6, delivering engaging and effective lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum.
- Prepare pupils for KS2 SATs, including targeted revision and assessment strategies.
- Plan and differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEN.
- Simplify complex concepts to ensure accessibility and understanding for all pupils.
- Work collaboratively with the Teaching Assistant to support individual and group learning.
- Conduct regular assessments, track progress, and use data to inform planning.
- Write detailed pupil reports and participate in parents' evenings.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 and 6).
- Strong understanding of SATs preparation and assessment frameworks.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
