Summary
Apprentice Teaching Assistant
Part time (35 hours per week), term time onlyMontrose School have an exciting opportunity, we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, proactive and well-motivated person for the position of Apprentice Teaching Assistant.
The successful candidate will join our dedicated team, working in the classroom while studying towards a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
The Successful Candidate Will: • Support in preparing the classroom and resources for learning • Be creative and have a passion for working with children • Motivate and inspire children to learn • Have achieved Maths and English at level 2 or above • Have an approachable and confident manner, able to communicate with a wide variety of people including our children. • Be able to promote a positive ethos and be a role model to our children • Have the confidence to support our children in a 1:1 situation, in the classroom and in small groups • Be able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team • Have a willingness to learn and commit to their apprenticeship

Hours: 35 hours per week, term time only, 39 weeks. Fixed term contract for 20 months (duration of apprenticeship) No holiday can be taken during school term time. Salary: £7.55 to £12.21 per hour
