This is an exciting opportunity to support the work of the West Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership at a time of significant transformation. We are progressing ambitious plans to improve health and social care services across West Lothian and are looking for someone with excellent organisational and communication skills to support the West Lothian Integration Joint Board (IJB) to deliver its statutory responsibilities.

This is a high-profile role, working with the Chief Officer, Chief Finance Officer, Head of Strategic Planning, and members of the IJBs, to ensure that they have the support they need to meet legislative and governance requirements. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to interpret policies and guidance relating to the national and local context and will lead on the development of briefing and other papers for senior managers and board members. You will also be involved in project work related to the IJB and will support the IJB’s Strategic Planning Group.

We are looking for an individual who can produce good quality work with minimum supervision. You will bring strong communications skills and an ability to prepare written work of a high standard. The individual will need to be able to use their initiative and have excellent organisational skills to ensure governance requirements and deadlines are met. The ability to influence and build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders is also required.
