Job Title: Operations Health & Safety LeadSalary: Competitive Location: Regional (UK-wide travel) | Main Office is in Newbury
This is a strategic and hands-on role where you'll lead health and safety initiatives, analyse performance data, and engage with clients and teams to drive continuous improvement. You'll be responsible for implementing QHSE programmes, conducting audits, and delivering training. This role exists to lead QHSE strategy, ensure compliance, and support operational teams in delivering safe, high-quality services.
Responsibilities:
The Operations Health & Safety Lead is responsible for developing and implementing QHSE strategies across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual obligations. This includes conducting audits, analysing performance data and identifying areas for improvement. The role involves delivering training, supporting operational teams, and fostering a culture of safety and quality. As a key client-facing figure, the postholder will build strong stakeholder relationships, lead incident investigations, and represent QHSE at national forums. They will also manage internal governance, performance monitoring, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the contract.
Requirements:
-QHSE Expertise- Proven experience in developing and implementing health, safety, and quality strategies across complex, multi-site operations within Commercial, industrial, Facility maintenance or Engineering industries.
-Strategic Leadership- Ability to analyse performance data, identify risk trends, and lead continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business goals.
-Client & Stakeholder Engagement- Strong interpersonal skills to build trusted relationships with clients and internal teams, influencing at all levels.
-Qualifications- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) is essential; IOSH membership and CPD progression are desirable.
-Mobility & Flexibility- Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel nationally; able to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
