Summary


Thepost holder will be workingwiththeCTLeadRadiographertodevelopandmaintaintheCTservice,standardising protocols, managing the patient bookings and waiting lists. ToworkwithintheCTteaminorganizingandoverseeingthetrainingofradiographersand students in all aspects of CT scanning, including comprehensive competency assessments in conjunction with the CT Lead.

Workingwithin theirarea they willundertakepracticalscanning aswell as perform service evaluation to ensure optimal productivity.

IntheabsenceoftheCTleadtoassumetheroleofleadingthestaffwithinCT.

Thepost holder willmaintain anup-to-date level of knowledgeandskills toenable them to maintain ahighly professional and technicalstandard of clinicalwork.Thisknowledgewillbe disseminatedthrough formal and informal CPD practice.



Thepost holder willbe key inensuring thedelivery of high-quality patient careand experience, as aresultwerequirethe postholder tobepresentinthe department 9-5pm Monday to Friday aside from their annual leave and approved study leave(and any otherunplanned absence as perTrustPolicy).Thereforenolocalagreement shifts can be undertaken if TOIL is accrued or compensatory rest is required within thesehours.
ClinicalResponsibilities
The post holder will have a modality overview of CT service needs, to ensure effective co-ordinationand allocationofresources.The individual will workverycloselywiththeSuperintendentradiographers in provision of Imaging Services at this site CT Lead Radiographer in the provision of CT services
