Summary

CPM are looking for an In-store Marketing Coordinator to join the team working for Asda. As an In-Store Marketing Co-ordinator at Asda, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of impactful in-store communications that engage customers and support commercial objectives.

Salary: £26k per annum

Ideal Location: Leeds, united Kingdom, LS2

This role involves coordinating the promotional process across multiple categories, working closely with trading teams, design agencies, and retail operations to ensure messaging is purposeful, on budget, and delivered on time.

You will play a key part in driving shopper satisfaction and basket spend by ensuring all in-store communications align with Asda's brand and in-store principles. Reporting within the Customer function, this position requires excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and agency partners effectively.

You will be based at Asda House in Leeds, with a minimum of three days per week in the office, including mandatory days on Monday and Friday, plus one day visiting stores to support implementation. What else will I be doing?

  • Adapt to the evolving nature of the role, which is seeing increased automation, and respond to the urgency of filling the position due to the incumbent leaving and other team members departing soon.
  • Ensure correct allocation of point-of-sale materials to stores based on region and promotion, sign off on artwork, and produce weekly guides for stores on promotional displays.
  • Manage promotional cycles that change every four weeks, coordinating with trading categories to gather promotion details and create briefs for printers.
  • Act as the In-Store Marketing Communicator with a primary focus on ambient promotions across core grocery, impulse grocery, beers, wines and spirits, non-edible grocery, and health and beauty categories.
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of in-store communications for Asda, ensuring messaging is purposeful, on budget, and aligned with customer needs.
  • Coordinate the promotional process across all ambient categories, including Grocery, Non-edible Grocery, and Beers, Wines, and Spirits, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Oversee the critical path management with all stakeholders to guarantee activities are delivered right first time.
  • Write clear and concise artwork and print briefs for agencies, managing relationships to ensure cost-effective and high-quality outputs with minimal amendments.
  • Support the Business Partner by understanding category strategies and customer targets to develop in-store communications that align with Asda's brand and communication principles.
  • Ensure adherence to approval processes, including securing necessary sign-offs from legal and other relevant teams.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams such as Customer Design, Commercial Business Units, and Retail Leadership to facilitate smooth delivery of communications.
  • Conduct local store visits as needed to support implementation and maintain strong relationships across teams and agencies.
  • Work primarily from Asda House, Leeds, with a minimum of three days per week in the office, including mandatory days on Monday and Friday, plus one day in-store.

What we're looking for

  • Experience in in-store marketing, communications, or project management, with a track record of delivering promotional campaigns on time and to budget
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and critical paths effectively, ensuring seamless execution of in-store communications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of liaising confidently with internal teams, agencies, and external partners.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring all promotional materials meet brand guidelines and legal requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, managing priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Experience working with design and print agencies, including briefing and managing artwork and print processes.
  • Full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle for local store visits, with flexibility to work from the Leeds office and in-store as required.
