Summary

Key Benefits:

Salary – between £31,000 - £34,000 depending on experience
Hours - 37 hours per week

Knowledge / Skills / Experience:

Proven experience in an HR advisory capacity or with exposure to the management of complex ER cases.
Excellent understanding of employment law and best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of key customers and achieve best outcomes by thinking “outside the box”.

Key responsibilities:

Providing guidance to managers by supporting on a range of employee relations issues by giving advice, attending meetings and utilising templates or crafting bespoke letters depending on the scenario.
Managing your own personal caseload, monitoring the progression of each situation via a live case management log.
Making referrals to specialists when required in respect of employee health or absence management.
Providing an advisory service for a range of employment life cycle matters from holiday calculations and Working Time Regulations to contractual issues.
Become involved in a variety of HR projects, including to streamline processes and implement new strategies.
Working collaboratively with the recruitment team to identify the key needs of your services and supporting recruitment and onboarding processes.
Recognising any analysing recurring issues/trends and taking ownership to identify the root-cause(s) before implementing agreed solutions.
Provide ongoing and training of manager to ensure adherence to HR policy and promoting best practice.
Supporting the HR Business Partner with change management exercises across the group e.g. shift pattern reviews, restructures.
Supporting with policy updates and process reviews, ensuring the implementation of internal practices.
Reporting to the HR Business Partner and with support from the established wider team, the ideal candidate must be able to manage their own caseload to achieve a balance between working proactively and providing an efficient reactive operational service. You will gain exposure to a wide range of employee relations matters, including long-term sickness cases, investigation meetings and disciplinary hearings, ensuring all issues are addressed to the highest standard.

The successful applicant will work closely with managers across the company to strengthen our advisory capacity by playing a key role in the running of our residential and homecare services. We want to find the right person to join our department, who appreciates the importance of teamwork and collaboration. This is a permanent position primarily based at our Head Office located within the scenic Hesslewood Country Business Park near the Humber Bridge. Some travel will be required on occasion to our services, so access to own vehicle is essential.
