Summary

Learning and supporting care, one fix at a time

We’re looking for a practical, reliable and friendly Maintenance Apprentice (or part-time maintenance support) to help us keep our care homes safe, comfortable and running smoothly — while gaining valuable experience on the job.

You’ll support our experienced maintenance team with everyday tasks like minor repairs, safety checks, and general upkeep. It’s a hands-on role where you’ll learn a little bit of everything — from changing a lightbulb to helping with painting or basic plumbing.

This is an ideal opportunity if you're studying, working towards a trade qualification, or simply looking to build experience while doing something that matters.

If you're curious, hardworking, and enjoy fixing things, we’d love to hear from you.

What Makes Island Healthcare Different
We’re a family-run company, and we treat our staff and residents with the same care we’d want for our own families.

For over 20 years, we’ve been part of life on the Island. We’ve built trust by doing the right things, the right way. That’s why many of our team stay for years. They feel respected and proud of the work they do.

Our homes feel like just that — homes. They’re welcoming, well-run, and full of people who care.

So if you want to learn real skills, with people who genuinely support you — we’d love to hear from you.
