Summary

12 month fixed term contract


Following the success of the Revenues team in generating additional income from Council Tax and Business Rates for South Hams and West Devon, we are looking to recruit a temporary Revenues Support Officer to provide administrative support to the team.


Your main focus will be on valuation and income generation activities, working closely with and providing support to the Revenues Inspections Officers, including updating the outcomes of inspections and working to an agreed timetable.


You will also provide support for other types of work including tracing absconded council taxpayers and processing cases returned by enforcement agents.


You will be a committed team player with a flexible approach to work and a willingness to learn new information and develop new skills. A basic understanding of Council Tax and Business Rates will be advantage, but it is more important that you have recent experience of working in a busy and customer focused environment.


Please note the successful candidate will require a satisfactory basic DBS check.
