Summary

Nursery Practitioner – Full Time, Permanent
Location: Colchester
Hours: Monday to Friday (Varied working hours)
Start Date: Immediate (We can be flexible for the right candidate)

Are you a passionate and nurturing individual with experience in early years education? TeacherActive is currently recruiting a Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming nursery setting in Colchester on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team dedicated to providing high-quality care and education for children in a safe and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework


  • Support children’s learning and development through play and interaction


  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues


  • Monitor and record children’s progress, identifying areas for development


  • Maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment for all children


  • Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times


  • Work collaboratively with team members to support the overall operation of the nursery


    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (or equivalent) – Essential


    • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting


    • Sound knowledge of the EYFS and child development


    • A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude


    • Excellent communication and organisational skills


    • A valid and enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
