Who We’re Looking For – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

We’re seeking a passionate and committed graduate who:

• Holds a 2:1 degree or higher in Psychology, Education, Child Development, or a related field
• Has relevant experience supporting children or young people with SEN — through education, youth work, care settings, or volunteering
• Demonstrates emotional intelligence, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations
• Communicates clearly and builds strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families
• Aspires to build a long-term career in education, child psychology, therapy, or SEN

What You’ll Be Doing – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

As a vital member of the support team, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with diverse and complex needs
• Help adapt classroom activities to meet individual EHCP goals
• Support pupils with emotional regulation, communication strategies, and positive behavioural routines
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and the SENCo to ensure consistent, high-quality care
• Celebrate small wins daily, helping pupils build confidence, resilience, and independence
