Career Management (CM) Combat (Cbt) manages the careers of Officers and Soldiers in the Infantry, Royal Armoured Corps and the Royal Corps of Army Music.
The Career Management Higher Executive Officer of the Light Division Soldiers, is responsible for the delivery of career management for Soldiers within the Rifles Regiment and the Royal Gurkha Rifles (RGR) covering clerical support activities relating to Service Persons careers including appointments, promotions, appraisal finalisation and CM Portal Boarding activity in order to meet the needs of the Army in Defence and to maximise talent.
The successful candidate will sanction assignments and appointments aimed at maximising ability and potential. You will act as Secretary for the Light Division manning meetings, appointments, and assignment boards including the selection of candidates to meet the External Regimental Employment (ERE) liability.
You will coordinate and deliver Formal Career Reviews (FCRs) to Light Division soldiers in accordance with Infantry current policy, and conduct Unit Career Management visits to regular battalions and assigned ERE establishments as required.
You will provide soldier career advice to Commanding Officers (CO) in line with Career Management Policy and give timely and accurate guidance regarding disciplinary action.
In accordance with the Joint Appraisal Reports Policy, you will certify compliance for Soldiers Joint Appraisal Reports (SJAR) from the rank of Corporal to Warrant Officer Class 1 and endorse annual reports for all Light Division promotion board eligible candidates.
