Summary
As an Apprentice Fire Stopper, you will undertake structured on-the-job training supported by a formal education framework. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will develop practical skills in passive fire protection, applying industry standards and company procedures to real-world site environments. This position is suited to individuals eager to build technical competence and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, safety-critical fire protection solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate site records, including attendance logs, daily work sheets, and JobFlow entries.
• Comply with project-specific Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Deliver work to consistently high standards aligned with specifications and quality protocols.
• Identify and escalate safety concerns appropriately.
• Participate in training programmes and continuous learning activities.
• Adhere to company processes and operational procedures
Skills & Experience:
• Time Management – Effectively plan and prioritise tasks.
• Diligence – Demonstrate care and attention to detail.
• Critical Thinking – Approach problems analytically and proactively
• Interpersonal Skills – Communicate and collaborate effectively.
• Troubleshooting – Identify and resolve practical site challenges.
Practical & Technical Knowledge:
• Basic understanding of construction site operations.
• Fluent in English (verbal and written).
• Familiarity with Passive Fire Protection principles and systems.
• Computer literacy, particularly with JobFlow and reporting tools.
• Commitment to learning technical systems and safety practices.
Behaviours:
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Assertiveness and confidence to stop any operations that appear unsafe or contrary to good practice.
Candidate must have a CSCS card, candidate without CSCS card will not be considered.
