Summary

Provide day-to-day leadership, support, and first-line management for the reception team, including staff training, performance evaluations, appraisals and conflict resolution. Handle patient inquiries and concerns, offering solutions or escalating issues when necessary. Ensure clear communication between patients, clinicians, and external organisations. Plan and manage the reception rota to ensure proper staffing, making adjustments for leave and sickness as needed. Ensure efficient use of practice IT systems, troubleshoot any issues, and train new staff on relevant software and processes. Ensure reception processes align with practice policies and NHS guidelines. Monitor and assess the quality of work within the reception team, implementing improvements where required. Serve as the main point of contact between patients, clinicians, and other staff members. Assist with problems which may lead to complaints Assist with various administrative duties and other tasks as needed. Participate in health and safety audits, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
