Sessional Exam Invigilators

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic individual(s) to provide support to the examination process. To ensure that the conduct of examinations takes place within the guidelines set down by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ). You must have a good general education, including at least GCSE (or equivalent) in English.

An ideal candidate will:

• be reliable, flexible and readily available during main examination periods

• have effective communication skills and good interpersonal skills

• work well as part of a team

• be confident and a reassuring presence to candidates in exam rooms

• be able to give instructions and manage situations involving different groups of people

The main examination period takes place in May and June, with other sessions occurring throughout the year. The length of sessions can vary. You will always need to be available at the start of each session and for its duration. Morning sessions begin at 08:30 (or 8:15 for some sessions) and Afternoon sessions begin at 13:00 (or 12:45 for some sessions).

The hourly rate for this role is £13.83 and £14.43 if acting as a lead invigilator.
