Summary

Lecturer in ESOL (Fixed-Term Maternity Cover)
21 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Within the range of £27,027 to £40,872 per annum, pro-rata (working 21 hours per week, the salary would equate to £16,216.20 to £24,523.20 per annum)
*Starting salary subject to college salary assessment process
Working days will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Fixed-term up to 1 year or the return of the permanent post holder (whichever is sooner)

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a lecturer to teach on our ESOL provision, teaching 16–18-year-old learners who are new to the UK and therefore there is a range of teaching from pre-entry to entry level 3.

You will have a passion for your subject, being able to motivate students and help them to achieve their qualifications to progress onto full time vocational qualifications in the College.

You should have a relevant qualification, e.g., CELTA, TEFL, TESOL or DELTA, along with maths and English at Level 2 or equivalent. You will also have a teaching qualification or a commitment to obtaining one within a specified period. We can offer teacher training to those individuals who can demonstrate the potential, commitment and passion to become an effective teacher.

This post is based at Suffolk New College Ipswich Campus (on-site). However, Suffolk New College is a multi campus site therefore you may be required to work at and travel between campuses.
