We are situated in Millhouses, South West of the city and we are part of the Peak Edge Academy Trust. The Governors of Dobcroft Nursery Infant School are seeking to appoint an excellent Teaching Assistant Level 3 to support children in our preschool. Enthusiasm, patience and being hard working are attributes we would appreciate. Our school has a 26 place pre-school and three form entry (90 children in each year), Foundation Stage 2 and KS1. We are proud of our children who are enthusiastic, kind and happy.
The role
Dobcroft Nursery Infant School have an exciting opportunity for a talented and caring candidate to join our team as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant. We are only interested in hearing from candidates with a level 3 qualification that is full and relevant in a Foundation Stage 1 (pre-school). You can click here to check.
This role is to work as part of a team of Teaching Assistants and alongside Class Teachers to assist with the teaching and support of children in order to provide high quality provision. Some of the children with whom you would be working could have specific needs. These may include autism, ADHD, learning and speech difficulties and/or social, emotional and behavioural needs.
We are a trauma informed school and are therefore seeking someone with a genuine passion for developing positive relationships and a commitment to providing a relational approach to supporting children, particularly those with special needs.
We are looking for someone who:
• Is enthusiastic about working with young children and has a positive attitude.
• Has experience of working with EYFS and children with additional needs
• Has a commitment to inclusivity.
• Is committed to providing high quality and enjoyable learning opportunities for pupils.
• Is an effective and reflective practitioner with a desire to learn and develop.
• Works well as part of a team and have good interpersonal skills with colleagues, children and parents.
