Our Client is seeking a qualified and experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to influence fire safety across a diverse and complex portfolio of social housing properties.
Key Requirements:



Qualified Fire Risk Assessor.


Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE).


Experience with complex, tenanted social housing blocks.


Strong mentoring and team collaboration skills – you will be expected to support and upskill existing team members.


Ability to contribute to and improve Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) templates, policies, and processes.




Key Responsibilities:


Reporting directly to the Team Manager, you will manage day-to-day health and safety related to:



Building projects,


Maintenance contracts,


Fire risk assessments across the borough.




Allocate work to Property Services Officers, Supervisors, or external contractors/sub-contractors.


Ensure all work meets established quality, cost, and compliance standards in building maintenance and construction.


Provide technical expertise in surveying or building works with a focus on fire safety in purpose-built blocks of flats.




Skills & Knowledge:


Knowledge of BS 9999, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, and PAS 79.


Familiarity with contract law, statutory regulations, British Standards, and their application in refurbishment and maintenance.


Ability to supervise, support, and develop a team.


Strong project planning and management skills to meet team targets and deadlines.


A background in surveying, building construction, or related disciplines.
