Summary

Job Summary – The Sports Department at the University of Exeter are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic communications and digital engagement support officer to work in their busy and ever-changing department to lead our communications activity across the breadth of sport. You will work across wider University departments maintaining excellent relationships and ensuring the brand of Exeter sport is promoted. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering against the sport and physical activity strategy using effective marketing and positioning of our sporting offer. You will have experience alongside excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a close-knit team environment. Attention to detail and a flair for innovation is crucial in working with our student demographic to promote and drive forwards our communication strategies. This role is part of the Graduate Business Partnership (GBP) scheme and offers full-time hours (36.5 hours per week) based at the Sports Park on Streatham Campus in Exeter with occasional remote working possible. About You – You should be a graduate who has excellent written communication skills, attention to detail for copy editing and content creation, experience with a variety of digital platforms, experience of managing and prioritising diverse workloads, and the ability to work to deadlines. You should have a solution-focused attitude, be proactive, have an interest in sport, have the ability to build and develop relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders, and have a flexible approach to work and a willingness to work in a way which reflects the business needs of sport. You should have an understanding on Higher Education Sports, and have prior experience of content creation on social media and the use of content software e.g. Canva.
