The successful candidate will support the coordination, planning, and control of activities under the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004, with a focus on minimizing congestion and ensuring effective street works coordination. Responsibilities include managing and assessing permit applications, issuing warnings and fixed penalty notices, and maintaining accurate records of highway works via a dedicated database. The post-holder is expected to attend meetings with utility providers and other stakeholders, evaluate traffic management plans for compliance, and conduct inspections and site visits to ensure quality and regulatory adherence.
