The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Payroll Administrator to join our team on a hybrid basis. You will be responsible for managing and processing a weekly payroll from start to finish across multiple UK sites. This role requires high attention to detail, good working knowledge of payroll legislation, and strong communication skills.

Your duties and responsibilities will be

- Process a weekly payroll end-to-end across multiple sites within tight deadlines.
- Apply payroll rules in accordance with various National Agreements and contractual terms.
- Accurately set up and pay new starters.
- Process leavers and ensure accurate termination payments.
- Calculate and process statutory payments such as SMP, SPP, SSP, as well as occupational sick pay.
- Calculate redundancy payments where required.
- Collaborate with site teams and other departments to maintain smooth and timely payroll operations.
- Respond promptly and professionally to payroll-related queries.
- Ensure correspondence and documentation is completed and filed to a high standard.
- Generate payroll reports for internal departments as required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll and pension legislation.
- Follow and promote internal payroll policies and procedures.
- Liaise with third parties such as HMRC, pension providers, and courts.

You will have the following qualifications & experience:
Essential:

- Minimum of 2 years' experience in payroll, ideally within a multi-site or multi-contract environment.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office, with intermediate Excel skills.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK payroll and pension legislation, including HMRC reporting requirements.

Desirable:

- Recognised CIPP payroll qualification or equivalent (not essential but beneficial).
